okays, being the huge shoe freak that i am, i cannot help but post this awesome picture of Miu Miu's Art Deco stiletto up here. spring/summer 2008's stilettos and wedges are making heels the focus and footwear walking pieces of art. they are so intricately detailed and sculpturally breathtaking and might not be ideal to run around in, but they sure turn each stride into a fashion statement. and i'm totally besotted with it! there are more from Prada, Valentino and Chloe but i just can't seem to find them. kaay, i know what you are thinking. you're thinking they are just shoes. you're gonna wear them out someday so what's the point of paying over a thousand bucks for one pair. you're thinking it's waay absurd that anyone would even buy shoes like this. and i know that's what my mum would probably say. but hell, if i had the chance to buy this pair of shoe, i most definitely would. and you know what i'm going to do with it? absolutely nothing. i'm not going to wear it out, i'm not going to do anything with/to it. and now you're thinking, then what in the world did you even buy it when it's just going to collect dust in one corner? and now i'll tell you. simply because it's a pair of shoe. most of the times, i buy shoes just because i like them and not because i think they are practical, and most of the times, i don't even wear them. any type of shoe, be it a stiletto, a wedge, an espadrille, a slingback, a t-back, a slide, a d'orsay, ballet pumps, a peep toe pump, a criss cross pump or even flip flops. and God forbid, that crocs and uggs come anywhere but near me. like Tim Gunn says,'' i wished they would be banned from this planet.''
i just can't explain the desire i have for shoes. i just can't. it's like an insatiable desire and i doubt it would end, ever. call me materialistic and all, but you can't deny that most girls want material goods. i guess, bottom line is, i wholly love shoes! and i suppose, that's the only one thing i'm passionate about (:
