koreaaaaa.
i'm back from Korea, sadlyy. my seven days there were great because i had awesome company! (: if i had a chance, i'd drop everything in a heartbeat and go back there.

Day One, 090930/091001.
my flight to Seoul was at 2250. my seat was right smack in the middle of the plane. furthermore, there were no individual tv! the plane ride was agonizing, i could barely sleep because it was so uncomfortable. when i finally, finally dozed off at around 0340, they served breakfast. we had a choice of omelette or bibimbap. i like bibimbap but who eats rice at 0400 in the morning? surprise surprise, there was only bibimbap left. not my night, i guess.

when we landed, i headed straight to minishop and bought top and sol drinks, hahahaha. after that, we went to some palace. on the way to DDM, i saw the 63 building that was mentioned in WB. i suddenly missed Jae ): i only went to one place (Doota) which is like 1/100 of the whole DDM uh. went to Nami Island afterwards and it's so prettyyyy! it's like a green paradise and you see all the couples there, aww. the trees are like super straight laa. pictures later! (:

the shoes in Korea are so niceee, i felt like buying all sia. everyone went crazy over Etude House in MyeongDong, hahaha. all the ahjummas splurged like crazy. dinner was not bad, their restaurants are all so small with limited walking space. everyone was pretty much flat out exhausted by the end of the day, seeing as we didn't really sleep for almost 24 hours. so we went to our resorts, the Koreans call it condos. and! there were no beds, hahaha. we had to sleep on the floor. it was much better than i thought it would be. it was actually kind of cosy. we had to wake up at 0700 the next day, which is 0600 Singapore time. i was watching KBS, haha. but no SGB ): lol.

Day Two, 091002.
went to Waterpia located in the resort! fantastic place :D went for spas of all kinds, indoors and outdoors. there was the air spa, the well being spa and the spa in which you had to lie down. there was this spa in which the water was 39 degrees Celsius. wah, super hot can. but once you get used to the temperature, it was quite relaxing. aww, Denny was so hot luh! hahaha. he's super duper tan can. miss him!

after we bathed and changed, we went to Mt Sorak. we took a cable car up and proceeded to climb the remaining of the mountain, haha. it reminded me of Cambodia where we climbed the Lychee(?) Mountain. aww, miss those times. the view at the top was panoramic and terrifying. one wrong footing and off you go, never to be seen again. hahaha. we had no idea how stable the rocks were also.

for the second night, we changed resorts. and the condo this time had beds! with gold comforters, haha. there were also two toilets. heaven. however, we need to wake up one hour earlier which means 0500 Singapore time. the amount of Samsung products in Korea is astounding. they have the Samsung hospital, Samsung skincare and beauty products, Samsung resorts(!!!), you name it, they have it.

Day Three, 091003.
woke up super early in the morning and was greeted by a magnificent view from the condo's balcony. it was still misty, not to mention cold, but it was really nice. it was almost like a reward, or incentive for waking up that early on your holiday. after breakfast, we went to learn how to make kimchi! the thing was conducted in chinese so i tuned out, haha. it was kinda fun. Denny was busy taking pictures of everybody, haha.

the hanboks are so pretty with bright colours and intricate designs. it was super easy to wear too, far from the complicated process i thought it was. in the winter, Korean ladies have to wear 16(!) layers of the hanbok. can you even move under all that weight? and what if you have to go to the toilet? once again, Denny was occupied taking pictures of everyone, telling them how to pose and the sitting position. oh, fyi, Denny is pure Korean and is super duper good looking and a wonderful, wonderful singer (: he's the best can.

after that, we went to Everland! omg, that place is huge ass giantic. the cable car ride was funny towards the end cause Denny was trying to take our picture but we were laughing so hard, we looked like we had spasms. hahaha. me and Joelle wanted to sit the Viking and it was like 33 meters up in the air! f-ing awesome! hahahahaha. it was like vertical man. went to sit the Hurricane, it is something like Viking except that it rotates :D not much thrill there though. the T-express was too damn scary so we decided to skip that. but i will sit it the next time. we all met and went to the safari. the animals were all so adorableee! especially the bears. went souvenir shopping later, and bought random stuff. it was a great day (:

Day Four, 091004.
woke up at 0530, which means 0430 Singapore time(!!) to catch my flight to Jeju. surprisingly, waking up that early wasn't as painful as i thought it to be. the flight only took an hour so it was all good. when we touched down, we went to see the Mysterious Road. Charlie was trying to explain the phenomenon behind it but everyone was too busy eating roadside fishcakes, hahaha. they were good, by the way. had greentea ice cream! omg, i could eat it for the rest of my life. it was fabulous.

Jeju is bigger than Singapore, just to let you know. hahaha, they have lalangs every corner of the island. at the moment, they are my favourite flowers, haha. somehow, the lalangs looks more refined and graceful in Jeju. our next stop was the Teddy Bear Museum! it was one thing i was looking forward to (: they were all so cuddly, ranging from miniscule to chubby, rotound bears. i took so many pictures, my battery faltered. thankfully, Denny was there as backup, haha.

went to this waterfall next. it was pretty but not as big as the one in Cambodia where i slipped on the rocks and fell inside the water, hahaha. the climb was draining. furthermore, it was hot with the sun rays pounding on our backs. the resort in Jeju was really big and nicely furbished. they also had the most tv channels. i watched family outing and laughed like mad, rolling on the floor, haha. Joelle called and we went to the internet room on the first floor, like finally some connection with the rest of the world. it was a funny experience, hahaha. we laughed so much. we ended the night by eating ice cream which we eventually threw away, lol.

Day Five, 091005.
went to climb some extinct volcanic crater first thing in the morning, hahaha. the wind was super strong and making me look like i've just been dangled upside down for days on end. i kept complaining because i couldn't see where i was going as my hair whipped across my face. Denny took this chance to take candid shots of me, haha.

and! my morning was ruined by china piaks. i have no idea what piak is, Joelle invented it, hahaha. they are so f-ing disgusting, rude, revolting and they piss the shit out of everybody. they spit like they get gold bars for it. they shove and push people in their way, like some fat ass bull. they are so loud you could hear them from the moon. the ladies climb the steps in heels, carrying umbrellas, blocking everyone in the process. hello, the steps are already narrow enough and you still want to carry umbrella? you think you princess or what? urgh, they are so f-ing annoying. even the Korean government doesn't like them, hence giving them only 5 days visa in Korea. otherwise, they aren't even allowed in the country laa. nb, go back to your own country laa. go and pollute other people's country for what.

went to the seaside and had to walk on rocks, some of which aren't stable at all. so it was kind of nerve-wrecking. at one point, i was shaking because i couldn't really balance myself. luckily, Denny was there (: the view was really awesome because the water is so blue and clear. it was my last day in Jeju, so i took more time to take everything in.

Day Six, 091006.
my second last day in Korea ): took the late morning flight back to Seoul. when we arrived, had lunch first. after that, went to visit some places not really worth mentioning so i shall skip that. went to The Face Shop. i just grabbed stuff that caught my eye, haha. it's cheaper than home so might as well take advantage of that fact. in the end, we splurged 217,000 won on skincare products and makeup, hahahaha. my jaw dropped open siaaa.

after that, went to Sinchon Fashion Street. wooh, shopper's paradise. i literally just touch and go. see it, like it, bought it. hahahaha. it mainly caters to the female university students as their school is like right next to the shopping district. omg, that's my future school. hahaha. the clothes are really reasonable and of good quality too. after that, we left for Lotte World! it's an indoor amusement park so it's really cool. there's outdoors too. when we reached there, it was around 2100 so most of the crowd was gone. and, we had free rides! sitting rollercoasters at night are so much more electrifying than taking them in the afternoon. checked into Sheraton WalkerHill for that night. the hotel is breathtaking. i'd want to go back there someday.

Day Seven, 091007.
my last day in Korea ): super depressing. me and Joelle were reluctant to leave. we didn't do much for the last day, except to see the border between North and South Korea. i really learned alot of things about the Korean war, it's really heartbreaking. we arrived at the airport to check in, and saying goodbye was harder than i thought, especially to Denny ): i miss his teasing and random pictures.

all in all, my trip to Korea was one of the best days of my life. i wouldn't give it up for anything. i made so many new friends, laughed so hard at many things, tried new experiences and felt, for a glimpse, what it was like to commit. i can't wait to go back (:
